Hire Developers in Saudi Arabia: Dedicated Engineers and Small Teams
Dedicated Odoo, .NET, Python, React and Flutter developers, working in Arabic and English. Hourly from $10 to $100 or a fixed price, quoted in writing before work starts.
Devvista places dedicated developers and small teams with Saudi companies, working remotely in Arabic and English. You can hire a developer by the hour from $10 to $100 depending on type and level, a small team, or a fixed-price build from $500 to $100,000 depending on complexity. Every price is in US dollars and agreed in writing before work starts.
Below: which stack fits which job, the three ways to hire, how a remote team fits a Saudi working week, the Saudi rules your developer must know, and how to check a candidate. To start, tell us your case and we will say honestly whether we are a fit.
Which developer do you need? Match the stack to the job
The right hire follows the problem, not the fashion. The table maps common Saudi business needs to a stack and to the page that explains it.
| The job | Stack we would look at | Read more |
|---|---|---|
| Run sales, stock, accounts and HR in one system | Odoo developer | Hire Odoo developers (English page) and Odoo ERP for Saudi companies |
| Extend or replace a Microsoft-based business system | .NET and C# developer | Hire .NET developers in Saudi Arabia |
| Backend, data work, APIs and automation | Python developer | Hire Python developers (English page) |
| A fast web interface or dashboard | React developer | Hire React developers (English page) |
| An iPhone and Android app from one codebase | Flutter or React Native developer | Flutter and React Native (English pages), or mobile apps for Saudi Arabia |
| A custom web platform or portal on PHP | Laravel developer | Hire Laravel developers (English page) |
If you are not sure which row you are in, describe the problem and we will recommend the smallest team that solves it. Sometimes that is one developer for three weeks, sometimes it is a company-level project, and we say which.
Three ways to hire, and what each costs
We use one pricing scale for every stack. Choose the model by how well you know the scope.
| Model | Best when | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Dedicated developer by the hour | You have ongoing work that will keep changing: maintenance, new features, a backlog | Hourly, $10 to $100 by developer type and level |
| Small team | A build needs several skills together, for example back end, front end and testing | Hourly, per person |
| Fixed-price build | The scope is written down and will not move much | Fixed, $500 to $100,000 by complexity |
A worked example (estimate, not a quote). A part-time developer for 80 hours at an illustrative $40 an hour comes to $3,200. A senior developer costs more per hour and a junior one less, which is why the range is wide. Bring your list of jobs and we will price your own.
Prices are stated up front in US dollars, with no conversion to riyals on this page. Our blog explains how dedicated teams compare with project work.
How a Saudi company works with a remote team
Our developers work remotely. Calls, written specs and a shared project board replace site visits, and these habits keep the distance from mattering:
- Working hours. We agree up front which hours overlap your day and plan around your working week, including Sunday to Thursday if that is yours.
- Language. Specs and chat can be in Arabic or English; screens are built right to left from the first release, not retrofitted.
- Visible progress. You see work on a staging site and in a regular demo, so you approve what runs, not a status report.
- Your accounts. The repository and the hosting accounts are in your company name, and the code is handed over with a setup guide.
- A review point. Each stage ends with a review against the written scope before the next one starts.
Our Jeddah address and phone number are at the bottom of this page. Most of the work is done through video calls and the project board.
Saudi rules your developer has to know
A developer who has only built for other markets will miss these. We brief the person we assign before the first task.
| Rule | What it means for the build | Source |
|---|---|---|
| ZATCA phase two e-invoicing | ZATCA requires invoicing solutions to be integrated with its systems and rolls this out in waves, with at least six months of notice before a wave. | ZATCA roll-out phases |
| ZATCA Wave 25 | Taxpayers whose VAT-subject revenue exceeded SAR 187,500 in 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025 must integrate with the Fatoora platform by 1 February 2027. | ZATCA Wave 25 notice |
| Arabic tax invoices | Odoo's Saudi documentation says tax invoices must be in Arabic, with English as an option. | Odoo Saudi documentation |
Check your own notice from ZATCA, because it notifies each taxpayer directly. Our Wave 25 guide and Wave 25 checker explain the date, and Odoo and ZATCA e-invoicing covers the Odoo route.
How to check a developer before you commit
Put these questions to any candidate, from any company. Strong answers are concrete and admit what a choice costs.
- Which project of this kind did you build, and what would you do differently now?
- How do you keep passwords, keys and connection strings out of the repository?
- How do you test a change before it reaches live data?
- What will the handover contain, and who owns the accounts?
- How do you work when the requirement is unclear?
Ask for a small paid trial task before you commit to a longer engagement. It shows how the person works and costs a few hours, not a month.
When a developer is not enough
Hiring a developer suits work you can direct. If you need the whole result delivered, including analysis, design, testing and rollout, hire a company instead. See software development for Saudi businesses, website development, accounting and e-invoicing software or the ERP cost guide. For a broader view of what we have built, see our work page (in English).
Odoo projects are under NDA, so we cannot show them as case studies. We would rather tell you that than invent proof.
What a first month looks like
- Week one: access to the code or the process, a written list of jobs and an agreed order.
- Week two: the first job running on a staging site, with a demo.
- Week three: the next jobs, with tests and a review against the list.
- Week four: a handover of what is done, a plan for what is next, and a decision: continue, change the team or stop.
This is the shape, not a promise of dates. A dated plan comes after we read your list. Start on the contact page or return to the Saudi home page.
